Assessment and Evaluation Options

Lecture 2: Learning Theories and Assessment of Learning - The Innovative Blended Learning Site

All Options include:

  • An initial conversation to discuss areas of concern and observations about your child’s intellectual, academic, and social/emotional functioning
  • Formal assessment and observations of your child
  • A written report that includes diagnosis/diagnoses (when present) and recommendations
  • A meeting with parents and when appropriate, the child to discuss findings.

All assessments begin with a parent meeting during which we will discuss your concerns and observations about your child’s intellectual, academic, and emotional functioning. The main objective of this initial conversation is to determine if testing is appropriate for your child and to outline specific goals for the assessment.
