We help families understand and address previously identified learning challenges, as well as pinpoint overlooked factors that may be affecting a child\u2019s ability to learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR_rNftwWG85rkKcA53e0FNbSs8Iqo42obBsw&amp;usqp=CAU\" alt=\"Education Advocacy | SEN Advocates\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To empower families and give a voice to students, we can assist with the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Advising parents about services, programs, and accommodations that meet their children\u2019s individual needs<\/li><li>Helping parents interpret reports and evaluations, as well as explaining their implications<\/li><li>Drafting requests, responses, and complaints to schools<\/li><li>Assisting parents with submitting written requests<\/li><li>Preparing parents for IEP and 504 meetings (meetings that outline the services and accommodations students will receive and how schools will remove barriers to learning, such as providing a calculator to students with dyscalculia), which may include suggesting support materials or prioritizing goals and objectives<\/li><li>Checking special education documents for accuracy and completion both before and after IEP and 504 meetings<\/li><li>Accompanying parents to IEP and 504 meetings to offer advice and assistance<\/li><li>Advising parents about the strength of their cases before review and offering referrals to special education attorneys when appropriate<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fee: $150\/hour For a student with learning differences, learning concerns take many forms.
